Rob Buckland, Professor of Saxophone at the RNCM, is internationally acclaimed as one of the most distinctive and versatile saxophonists of his generation. Rob has been heard performing in concert with artists as diverse as Wayne Shorter, Jon Bon Jovi, Ringo Starr, Kiri Te Kanawa and the Wombats and will be visiting Winchester Cathedral to run an exciting weekend of saxophone fun, which promises to be very helpful and inspiring for saxophonists of all standards. Players between Grade 3 and Grade 5 standard are invited to come along on Saturday 13 March and players Grade 6 and above on Sunday 14 March.
Jonathan Myall Woodwind are supporting the weekend and will be visiting with an array of instruments, sheet music and accessories to try out, as well as music (including Rob’s compositions which are on the ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall syllabuses) for you to browse.
